Have we returned to “Business as Usual”?

Well, to some extent yes, except that we’ve come back stronger than ever before!

We are so excited to watch businesses bouncing back and to see our corporate and leisure clients travelling again. We have expanded our team to manage the increased bookings and invested in their travel and tourism training. The office is buzzing with energy and the phones are ringing like crazy – it’s a great time to be in travel!

It may be a new world that we’re entering, but we’ve spent two years preparing for this. Our systems are streamlined, our connection with suppliers and partners better than ever and we have a renewed focus on sustainability and risk management.

According to a new global travel industry study, Mapping Travel’s New Normal by Sabre Corporation, more than a third of airline and agency leaders who participated believe that travel will return to pre-pandemic levels by the end of 2024 with a further third expecting it to happen in 2025 or beyond.

“Revenge Travel” has become a trend, where travellers are making up for lost time. 68% of Travel Leaders are forecasting a higher spend from consumers on their future travel plans. This could also relate to the 82% of airline executives expecting that ‘bleisure’ will be even more prominent post-recovery.

Interestingly, a key focus for APAC agencies was to spend more time reviewing new travel tools, services and technologies and to create a more seamless experience in terms of shopping, booking, fulfilment and personalization.

We are constantly reviewing the travel tools we use here at Goldman to ensure that you’re receiving market-leading technology to make your experience the best it can be.
