Doubled capacity Sydney to Singapore with Qantas

Heightened premium capacity on Qantas’ most popular Asian route.

Between 16 June and 10 August 2025, Qantas will launch a second A380 onto the Sydney-Singapore route on flights QF81 (Sydney-Singapore) and QF82 (Singapore Sydney). The second superjumbo aircraft will fly between five and six times per week, flooding the market with heightened premium seating capacity on Qantas’ most popular Asian route.

The freshly minted double-decker A380 is replacing the usual A330 that has previously handled increased capacity between Sydney and Singapore. This change delivers a 60% boost in overall capacity, notably doubling the number of Business Class seats and adding 120 additional Premium Economy seats per day (60 per way) to the route.

Excitingly, from 29 March 2026, the same flights will be rostered onto an A380 on Fridays and Sundays in response to strong passenger demand.
