Sofitel New York has unveiled a complete redesign, infusing the hotel with refined French Art Deco style. Every guest room and suite has been thoughtfully transformed with French-inspired wall panelling, bespoke furnishings, rich textiles and atmospheric lighting.
On the upper floors, floor-to-ceiling windows frame sweeping views of the Manhattan skyline, while marble bathrooms feature modernist artwork and amenities from Balmain to Diptyque. Suites feel more like private residences than hotel rooms, especially the 28-th floor penthouse, now home to an eight-seat dining space and sculptural circular marble soaking tub.
At the centre of the hotel’s refresh is Social 45 Bar & Bistro, a chic Parisian-style salon serving French classics with a contemporary New York twist, from caviar-topped grilled cheese to signature cocktails.
General Manager Dieter Schmitz describes the transformation as a tribute to New York’s limitless energy and the timeless elegance of French heritage. With elevated design, warm hospitality and a renewed sense of place, Sofitel New York ushers in a sophisticated new chapter for travellers seeking style in the heart of the city.
