Tom Goldman OAM
CEO & Managing Director
Tom started his career in travel in March 1962 as an office junior consultant selling rail tickets within Australia, and has been involved in selling all facets of travel including corporate, incentive, leisure and groups ever since. He is a fellow of the Australian Institute of Travel and is actively involved in the industry having served on the Board of AFTA at both a Federal and State level where he held the position of Chairman for a number of years. Tom is also a past Chairman of Travelscene American Express and currently serves on the Advisory Board of Travelscene which is a subsidiary of JTG, a publicly listed company. Outside the travel industry, Tom is keenly involved in the broader community and in January 2000 was awarded a Medal in the Order of Australia for his services to sport and community.

David Goldman
General Manager & Director
David has more than 18 years experience in travel. Born and bred into a travel family, David is responsible for the company purchasing, contractual agreements, operational procedures, airline and hotel coordination and tender submissions. David looks after all the Goldman Travel consultants and personnel, including their training, welfare and the day to day operations with the Goldman Travel Corporation. He also meets regularly with clients to discuss travel policies and deliver them real results by improving efficiency and reducing costs. When not drumming up business for Goldman Travel and delivering outstanding client service, he enjoys travelling, good food and spending time with his wife and 2 children.

Ian Pryer
Director
Prior to joining Tom Goldman in 1983 to form Goldman Travel Corporation, Ian travelled extensively and frequently. What started as an interest became a passion and eventually an obsession and Ian has been recognised both by the industry and his clients as one of Sydney’s leading travel consultants. With a wealth of experience both as a travel agent and a traveller, “I try to turn a trip into a memorable travel experience”. Knowing where to find the best bakery in Oslo, an interesting museum in Berlin, when the Paris sales take place, an obscure National Park in USA, the best (and cheapest) dumplings in Shanghai or getting up close and personal with a tiger are typical of opportunities which make travel so exciting. Ian is also regarded as a specialist in luxury cruising and maintains a strong interest in and knowledge of fares and frequent flyer programs. Ian’s local travel is inevitably on two wheels either by motor scooter or push bike.

Gail King
Administration Manager
Gail joined Goldman Travel eleven years ago as PA to the Managing Director. Today she heads our administration department and this covers Information Technology, the Accounts Department and Human Resources. She also plans, coordinates and accompanies the very successful Westfield World Retail Study Tours and has been doing so for the last six years. Gail’s interests include winter swimming, walking and classical music.

Sales Manager
Simone King is the Sales Manager of Goldman Travel Corporation and is experienced in all aspects of business travel. She has worked in the travel industry for over 28 years with international airlines and held positions from reservations and customer service roles to senior international consultant and General Manager.

Chris Cheyne
Client Relationship Manager
Chris has been involved in the travel industry for 15 years in a variety of roles, both in Australia and New Zealand. His experience encompasses many years of international and domestic consulting, along with online systems, product, marketing, and agency management. When he’s not liaising with clients or running data requests, Chris is a budding Flying Trapeze aficionado, and is one of our team’s most frequent travellers, with well over 140 cities visited around the globe, and on 6 of the 7 continents.

Erin Amundsen
Team Leader - Domestic
Erin has been in the travel industry for 8 years and is the Domestic Team Leader at Goldman Travel. After completing her Diploma in Travel & Tourism, Erin spent several years as a Domestic consultant at a respected boutique travel agency putting her newly acquired skills into practise, handling the complex requirements for a myriad of busy corporate clients. Erin has an extensive client base who appreciates her competent and efficient manner in looking after their needs. When not working Erin loves spending her spare time with her friends and family, being social, reading and of course travelling.

Vickie White
Team Leader - International
Vickie White has 20 years experience in various aspects of the travel industry. Having successfully run her own agency for over 7 years, Vickie joined the Ursula King Travel team in 1999, and due to the merger of Ursula King Travel and Goldman Travel Corporation in 2010, we were fortunate to acquire her extensive skillset as both an international consultant, and team leader. These skills combine with her excellence in client service and attention to detail to allow us to offer the best in service.

Team Leader - Leisure
Evelyn is currently our Leisure Team Leader and Travel Advisor with over 35 years of varied travel industry experience. Her expertise is in the areas of both consulting and management in leisure and corporate travel. Evelyn has worked with many VIP/high profile clientele of Sydney looking after their very special needs of luxury travel. She has managed the travel accounts for many leading Australian companies in mining, finance, real estate/property, medical, construction, legal and charitable/not for profit organisations. Born into the family travel business, she has a dedication and passion for the industry and is well travelled
